Technologyoverview

Thistechnology is a biochemical treatment process that cultivates halophilic bacteriaand adds into the reactor a certain amount of special-structured carriers so asto increase the biomass and biological species in the reactor. In addition, thestructure of the reactor is of a reasonable design, thereby the treatmentefficiency of it is improved. It is also achievable to remove COD, BOD, ammonianitrogen, total nitrogen and phosphorus.

Thehigh-salt biochemical system needs to be designed according to specificfunctional requirements, such as single step/multi-step carbon oxidationprocesses for COD removal, single step/multi-step nitrification-denitrificationprocesses for nitrogen removal. The system is equipped with a series ofBiotechina’s proprietary equipment, such as large specific surface areabiochemical filler, underwater pusher agitator, microporous aerator, dischargewater interceptor, thus enabling a more efficient biochemical treatment of high-saltwater.

Ø  Suitable for high-saltwater environment with TDS content greater than 1%

Ø  The filler used has alarge specific surface area, the material is firm and stable, and thereplacement cycle is long

Ø  The treatmentefficiency is high, and the volume load of both COD and ammonia nitrogen is 2to 4 times that of the conventional activated sludge methods

Ø  Impact resistance ishigh, high concentration of microorganisms and attached growth mode caneffectively disperse water quality fluctuation, the effluent is stable, and hasa strong tolerance to toxic substances.

Ø  Easy operationalcontrol, no need to artificially control the concentration of F/M and MLSS,self-balancing achievable.

Ø  No sludge swelling andsludge loss which are common in activated sludge processes

Ø  Easy maintenance, thelife span for both major equipment filler and aerator system is more than 10~20 years, completely maintenance-free
